Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak left Cairo on Friday and traveled 250 miles to the Red Sea resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, Egyptian and U.S. government officials have said, and an announcement from the president’s office is expected before the end of the day, state TV is reporting.
