Deerhoof: "Behold a Raccoon in the Darkness" [ft. Jeff Tweedy]
The Raccoonists: "Own It"

Art-rock noisemakers Deerhoof are releasing a series of collaborative singles, on which different vocalists try their hand at instrumentals from Deerhoof's recent album Deerhoof Vs. Evil. The latest 7" in the series is titled "Behold a Raccoon in the Darkness", and it its A-side features Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy singing over the instrumental for Deerhoof's track "Behold a Marvel in the Darkness".
The B-side, "Own It", is the first recording released from Tweedy's new side project the Raccoonists. And here's the thing about the Raccoonists: It's Tweedy and his two sons, Sam and blog star Spencer. So yeah, "collaborating with Deerhoof" now counts as a family activity in the Tweedy household. (Spencer also provides harmony vocals on the single's A-side.) Read more and watch a video:
