Fayetteville 18-year-old charged in slaying of Wolfgang Joppich

"What Wolfgang didn't realize is he made our lives different
because of who he was," Byrd said.
Robert Scarsboro, who lived with Joppich for the last year,
said Monday Joppich died when he was out feeding
the city's feral cats. It was routine for Joppich to spend
the little money he did have to purchase cat food
and take care of stray cats throughout Fayetteville.
