Roger Joseph Ebert (pron.: /ˈiːbərt/) (June 18, 1942-April 4, 2013) is an American journalist, film critic and screenwriter, who has been described by Forbes as "the most powerful pundit in America". He is the first film critic to win a Pulitzer Prize, as well as the first to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
